| For Lacy Team Construction design is where it all begins. Lacy Team
Construction does NOT build homes in which it has not
participated as a major contributor to the design process.
If you have a completed plan and specifications and only need a
price quote, we are NOT the builder for you. We only quote
projects in which we have collaborated with the homeowners,
architects, subcontractors, and suppliers. That is why we
chose to include the word "Team" in our company name.
We work as a team member from design to completion to help make
a project come to life.
Every project begins with "ideas". We use many
tools to help bring those ideas into focus. For us, the
design process is very much a "visual" process.
As they say, "a picture is worth a thousand words".
We use our plan portfolio search, previous projects,
photographs, books, plan books, online plan services, computer
aided design, and anything else that will help us "paint a
picture" of what we are hoping to create. We are
happy to provide quotes from plans that come from our plan
portfolio search as an early step in the design process, even
though we know the plan may go through several revisions.
We hope you take our advice and use whatever it takes to help you
clearly translate your "ideas" to your design and
build team. In addition, we hope you also take the time to
shop for all your possible selection items BEFORE you get too
far into the design and construction process. Fast
tracking your construction project only increases the
opportunities for errors, disappointments, costly changes, and
ultimately construction delays. Rushing through the design
and selection process and hurrying into (and through)
construction is never a good idea. Once again, if
you are in a hurry, we are NOT the builder for you. Please
keep in mind, we are the last group on your job to get paid, so
we won't "drag our feet", but we will not rush your
project!
